Nurturing Families relies on the generosity of our supporters as well as the goodwill and trust of the public. We are extremely committed to protecting any personal information we obtain from you whether you are just visiting our website, are a financial supporter, a recipient of our services, a donor or are a volunteer for us. Who does the privacy policy apply to? This policy applies to any person for whom we currently hold, or may in the future collect, personal information, including, but not limited to, our employees and volunteers, our donors and supporters, social services agencies we engage with and clients of social services agencies that we provided charitable services to.

Via website: When on our website if you are to make a donation or a contact enquiry you are required to submit personally identifiable information such as your name, contact details and potentially other personal data about yourself, family members or other key information. This is generally for the purpose of promoting Nurturing Families and raising support towards our organisation whether that be through gaining more material donations, awareness or financial contributions.

Via Donations, volunteering and other support:

If you make a donation, volunteer with Nurturing Families, or are otherwise involved in supporting our organisation, we may collect personal information about you for the purpose of facilitating your support.

The purposes for which we will use personal information will vary depending on the purpose for collecting that information. We may only use your personal information for another purpose if consent was to be provided or Nurturing Families is authorised by law to use it for that purpose.

We collect the bare minimum amount of details from direct recipients with an intended purpose. These are provided to us by the support agencies we work with and remain extremely confidential. The personal information we may collect in order to carry out our charitable services effectively are Identification details such as name, ethnicity, date of birth, age and area the family resides in as well as information regarding circumstances.

You do not have to provide us with, or allow us to collect, your personal information, however, we may be unable to provide you with our services if we do not have your identifying information.

We collect personal information for the following purposes:

Nurturing Families holds your personal information in a combination of hard copy and electronic files. We will destroy personal information when we no longer need it.
